APRIL 14th, 2024 (112th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic)

I have been working on this story since I think 2016. Or at least I can track mention of the idea as far back as that in my sketch books. I think the original idea was for it to be a Christmas ornament. Then it was going to be a theater piece, it was going to be a film, but now as you know, its final form is as a graphic novel. after that? who knows. I was originally going to release the graphic novel serially; in 5 or 6 parts. I wrote and finished part one “I’m sympathetic to your situation friend” and even released in December of 2022. Many of you may remember the release at Partners and Son in Philly. We made cookies with the characters on them?

anyways, since then, I decided that I didn’t want to release the book serially anymore. I wasn’t satisfied with the way the first part came out and I didn’t want to have to have 6 different releases for the same book and have to manage all that stock and blah blah blah. I like self contained novels more anyways and those are what I want to make. Over the year following the release of Part One, I quit drinking did a number of expos and helped negotiate a CBA for my Union. after all that break, I decided to get back to it in November of 2023. ANNNND here we are. I just finished the 620 page storyboard in preparation for final artwork.

A couple things:

1st: the drawings are sloppy, it’s a manuscript, I hope you can see underneath the sloppiness to the story below.

2nd: Dog is a ghost, Dog refers to their corpse as their dad, their dad is beside a fallen tree now submerged by flooding following a storm.
